I have just discovered this, which is hilarious because after 10 years since last seeing the film (THAT LONG????!!) I just finally purchased the 2 disc Collector's Edition DVD of 'Event Horizon'. It's still a wicked (literally) film, ain't it?

Your work is pretty dang spiffy, if you don't mind me saying so

I have some "notes" regarding your previously mentioned concerns about censorship, content, being banned bla bla bla. My fellow Canadian, I assure you -- the only person who can censor your stuff is YOU. Nudity, gore, blasphemy and (worst of all!) clichéed horror scenarios were a part of the film, which may I remind you was rated AA here in Ontario and 'R' for for our American brethren. This was not a kiddie flick, and Doom3 is not a kiddie game, either.

Let's face it -- you want Claire naked like she was in the film, and so do I; I don't see a problem. Do you? I want messy, splotchy, stringy, thickly clotted gore, like was in the film and so do you; again, no visible concerns. Your worst case scenario is "infamy" -- hardly a bad place to be in the mod community

Then comes 17 Ghosts and Phantasm Beyond...for D3, still there could be a sequel to EH XV 1.3....

BTW -- forgot to mention that I think BitTorrent would be a great way to go. Trust me, it's going to get uploaded that way anyway, lol. Just use The Pirate Bay; easy peezy. BitTorrent is great. I'm VERY sure one of us would be happy to do the first seeding with you to help out!

i've played the first version a while and liked some of the mood and ideas, but this NEW one looks a thousand times better and i am very excited to play it.

A few questions for you...

Did you model the Event Horizon and Lewis & Clark yourself? If yes, did you use the film as reference material?

i'm kind of holding off on buying the film on DVD till it's available in high definition Blu-Ray because the thing that makes the movie worth watching is the INCREDIBLE design and atmosphere and i don't want to lose that on low res tv screens! i saw this film when it was in theaters and i was stuck in a love-hate relationship with it because they fooled me into thinking it was going to be all science fiction when it was intended to jerk you around and catch you off guard as being a horror film instead. i'm hardcore scientific, so i have all kinds of "fan fiction" ideas to clean up the questionable mystical hell stuff as the movie showed, but you seem to be going in the Doom3 direction of literally using Hell. That's cool, though, since science fiction horror combos work for me, too.

Anyway, i'm excited, and i hope you continue to have fun working on this because i will no doubt have fun experiencing the fruits of your labor
