 Post subject: Editor doesn't work :(

First, hi all! I'm "new" on this board.

I can't even start editing some cool maps, hehe, because the console tel me this:

It seems that my doom 3 editor doesn't love me :(.
I have a ATI Radeon 9800 using the beta driver for doom 3, the one that suposedly acelerates OpenGL.

Does anyone know how to make the editor fall in love with me and Start to work???

I THINK this is the antialiasing problem. Disable AA in your game and try the editor again. I had to do the same to make it work.

Although I should scream "read the stickies and search" I'm in a pretty decent mood today so instead I'll answer this question anway and remind you to read the stickies, FAQ's and search thoroughly before asking questions like these.

It sounds like you're starting the game normally and then typing "editor" in the console. This will net this kind of error as well as cause all kinds of annoying problems...etc etc

Make sure you create a second shortcut to doom3.exe and then right click on the shortcut and select properties. In the "Target" box make sure that it looks EXACTLY like this does but make sure to adjust it to point to the proper location of your doom3.exe file:

"D:\Doom 3\Doom3.exe" com_allowConsole 1 +set r_fullscreen 0 +editor

That should solve the issue.

If you absolutely want to keep using AA in the game but not in the editor,
you can add +set r_multiSamples 2 (if you want 2x AA) in the game shortcut and add +set r_multiSamples 0 in the editor shortcut.

First thanks for the reply, but I've already red the faq's, etc... may be I haven't found the answer.

Your are suposing wrongly, I'm using the method below.
