No, but I do enjoy visiting (have some family there too). Haven't been there since the US made the mandatory international id/passport law. I keep wanting to get that so I can take the wife there for the weekend.

Shipping from the US to Canada (or vis-a-versa) gets expensive though. I've done it a couple times. When Quake 4 came out I bought two copies and ran one up to Pappy-R in Niagara Falls area. That was fun.

Not too get too off top (Niagara falls is lovely). I shipped a graphics card to the programmer of Darkplaces to get shader support in, he didn't have the right hardware so I helped out a bit (back in the day )

Got a second judges scores in! Woo-hoo!

EDIT: Hopefully I'll get the other two judges results in tomorrow (Saturday). Then Sunday I can make a new thread posting the winner, etc. I'll get the maps hosted on fileplanet/planetdoom(?), get links for everybody, etc.

Awaiting one more judge. I'm going to bug him today to have them by tonight. I'm liking the comments on the maps from the judges.

I got ahold of him and it ends up he didn't get any of my e-mails because I was using an old e-mail. I updated my e-mail and sent him the stuff yesterday (Sunday). I'm hoping to hear from him Tuesday.

I made my map faster then it takes time to review them four...

Tomorrow would be one week since I sent out the e-mail to the judges.

This sucks major donkey ballz.

I can't wait to see how high my map scored.

While you're waiting for the results, why not make the time go faster by playing this map? It's one of the most enjoyable maps I've ever played, and the design is amazing.

Its author claims that it was made in a week, which is very impressive. He'd be the definite winner in this contest if he took part then.

I watched the video and played it.

While it may be a worthy effort for a week, I didn't think it was that great of a map.

There was no objectives, it was just shoot A to trigger B.

A lot of the geometry was cut and paste from the hell maps. One of the areas was the model from the boss fight in hell1.map.

I don't agree it would've won, I bet there are some good maps in this competition

I thought he used some static meshes from Hell and made everything else himself. Gotta carefully compare the maps. Nevertheless, copy-paste is not that bad, better than bland design.

I felt it clearly implied that our objective is to get out from Hell and maybe confront Betruger in the process. The flaw is that there's an abrupt end, so it lacks completeness. But I still enjoyed it.

Yeah it wasn't clearly implied really. In RoE when you saw the hunters, you expected to fight them, didn't fight them, or Betruger. (I know it says to be continued, but that's another map to talk about when/if it's done).

A simple objective pop up saying "Get out of hell!" woulda done the job just nicely
